 21 December 2009 Itinerary

0930 - Visitor Tour Center (Receive vehicle passes, drive on base, park at parking lot next to C9, divide into ship tour groups)

1015-1030 - Depart for ship tours

1030-1230 - Ship tours
                                      USS MAHAN (DDG 72), USS NORMANDY (CG 60), USS SAN ANTONIO (LPD 17)

1230-1245 - Return to C9 Parking Lot

1245-1315 - USO visit (NMPS Bldg @ corner of Piercy/Bacon)

1330-1500 - Party at Ely Hall

                    (Bldg SP17 -across from Breezy Point O'Club, Fifth Ave Naval Station Norfolk)

 Monthly Meetings.

The Hampton Roads CPOA is a very unique CPO Mess.  Even after you retire from active duty, you can still belong to a CPO mess!   Our Executive Board is made up of Active Duty Members, but the mess itself is made up primarily of retired Chiefs, Senior Chiefs, and Master Chiefs along with active duty CPO's of various commands within the Hampton Roads area.  We truely believe in the "once a Chief, always a Chief" mentality.   

As a CPO mess, we do three major events a year.  In the summer (June) we sponsor a golf tournament in which the proceeds benefit the CPO Scholarship Fund; in the fall we host a CPO Round Up at the Anchor Station; and in December we host a great group of children from the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls in Richmond for tours of ships and a Christmas Party at the CPO Club.  Feel free to browse the site.
